Q Well Being plans are nearing completion
Posted on May 5th, 2009 in News • Comment on this postThe Q Well Being project team of David Bonnett Associates, Adam Thomas and Carl Davies met on 5th May 2009 to agree the final design details of Q Well Being. After nearly a year’s discussion, research and redesign we are nearing the finishing line.
To date the site plan has been agreed and filed with the planning authorities, and has been approved. We have spend a lot of time ensuring that every part of the site is accessible from the entrance to parking to communal areas and the restaurant , spa and gym. Where possible every part of the site has been designed either to Part M or Sport England accessibility standards.
Adam, Tanni and George are finalising the layouts of the apartments (with special attention to the kitchens and bathrooms), the gym and spa and we hope to have an Access Statement from David Bonnett Associates on 29th May 2009, ready for our launch at the Mobility Show on 4th – 6th June 2009.

Wow at last it looks as though someone who is talking from experience is getting into a project that’s way overdue. Cyprus is great and until my accident in Oct 2006 I was helping a friend sell property there, just now I’m getting it back together being C6/7 complete. Would it be possible to have a critical look at the plans and kitchen design ie measurements, heights, widths, gradients for the properties too please, thanks!

Hi Michael, thank you very much for your kind feedback. I will try to get some electronic plans to you but we only have large architects’ paper plans. You can rest assured that all measurements are extremely generous as are heights and widths, whilst gradients (where they exist as we have tried to eliminate them where possible) are as shallow as possible. David Bonnet and his team poured all over the plans and I can assure you that they would not issue and access statement if there were any areas they were unhappy with.
Adam Thomas designed all the internals of the properties and as the UK’s foremost disabled kitchen designer he knows a thing or two about accessible needs.
I am sure Adam would be willing to spend some time with you on the phone to explain the details if you wish. Where are you based?
